I kind of agree with Rachel. I watched all the performances those three days and at the end, even if the dancers were good, I couldn't see a coin bra or tassels anymore! I was being delirious and I'm sure a lot of poeple felt the same way...Breaks in performances could be good and a fashion show could definetely help to avoid the saturation...I stayed for all the perormances because I really wanted to see everybody's hard work but at some point it's just too much... I was loosing objectivity and concentration and that's a pity for all of those dancers who worked months and months to present their work!

Personally, I think a break in performances is a nice palette cleanser for the eyes. The open floor dance jam worked well that way, too - it was something different to see, so I felt rejuvenated when the performances started up again. If there are an extra 5 hours of performances, taking 15-20 minutes for a fashion show really wouldn't hurt...

The huki lau was so awesome though!!! Another idea to get vendor fashions on stage... Vendors could opt to "sponsor" performers and then a performer can be announced as "dressed by Black Lotus/Firefly/whoever." That way people can see costuming in action. I really just can't wait for the next year though. It'll be awesome!!! :)

We are sitting here and the planning has started. We wanted to say Mahalo to those of you who took the time from the TF 9 program to send in your answers to our questions. They are a HUGE HUGE help in planing Tribal Fest. We do listen and are planning changes for TF 10... so watch out! Those of you who took the time to post in the "Over The Top" thread there are some great ideas there also but I am affraid that the "Hour long Chuck hula" idea has been quashed. LOL But be aware, I do have something planned because Amar has let the cat outa the bag and Kajira has asked that I do something. LOOK OUT!
