But will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?

    (That would be TF 33...)

Hey...since TF10 will be near my birthday (sort of)...will you play the Beattles Birthday song for me?

I rarely plan this far ahead. It's just that I really want to go, but I have to put my studies first. Hopefully that last quarter won't be very heavy as far as classes go. I should just be doing some culminating senior seminar classes and my final ballet class so I won't miss much. The only problem is that TF seems to be around finals. I'm sure I'll be able to arrange something...Or rather...I will arrange something damnit.

If all goes well, the next year I'll be on the other side of the country for grad school, so it will probably be my only real chance to go to TF. I know what I'm saving my money for, the next few years.

Ok...now I have to go figure out how to get this smell out of my apartment. I left the tea kettle on and then went next door for a quick question, which turned into a one hour conversation. Now my apartment smells something awful and my cats aren't too happy with me. Don't blame them. And it's blizzzard conditions outside. Weird...

i thought the theme for TF 9 would be something numerological and sacred, like Tribal Fest 9. The Serpent Eating Its Tail.

go beatles if you like. they're pretty cool, too.

Dude... I have the white album on vinyl, with the original prints of the fab four still intact and included. Brilliant brilliant brilliant music. Changed the face of sound, it did. I remember the first time I heard it - I was with my family, and we were driving to Yosemite, and I was a little girl, and I loved it then. I still love it.

    Number 9.... Number 9....

Uh, yeah... if you haven't heard the white album, go listen. Now.

And yay for Tribal Fest! :)

My first thought wasn't from The White Album though, when I heard the number 9 thing. I kept thinking of the tv show "The Prisoner" from back in the day. Does anyone remember that show? I loved it. Very intellectual and politically minded. I miss it.

      Obla di obla da!

I would love more folk dance classes if possible. (Not the change subject or anything =P)

Hey! When I've taken folk dancing classes and the instructor is the one who teaches all the minor courses. She kind of tailored the class so we can teach the dances at community events. Maybe at TF10 I'll teach a class too! Why not go all out eh? Most of the folk dances I know are group oriented (partner switching, circle style, etc) but they are a lot of fun. That would be so cool to be able to teach something like that.

I'm putting the finishing touches on a proposal for a workshop that I hope to teach in April at an event for minority college students. It's basically about how I've used belly dance to become more comfortable with myself and find strength in who I am, not who others think I should be.
