I am totally thrilled to be invited to teach a workshop at TF10. I'm in the process of putting together my class description for Kajira (sorry for the delay!) and going over my material and trying to decide what kinds of things I'd like to share. It occurred to me that I should ask you, the esteemed 1,555 members of this tribe what you'd like to learn from an ATS workshop. Folks who already dance ATS or know the basic ATS steps and concepts, what would you be looking for in an EvilEye BellyDance workshop?

Re: What do you want out of an ATS workshop?
Mon, September 28, 2009 - 1:54 AMWell, I would expect moves and concepts that are specific for the EvilEye format. ;-) -

Re: What do you want out of an ATS workshop?
Thu, October 1, 2009 - 1:04 PMYES lots of good EvilEye special combos
and time to practice them with a partner so we can let it sink in.
Demos of variations to try, to challenge more advanced dancers.
formation changes maybe?
Oh--a specification of the level required for the class--if you are assuming basic knowledge of lead-and-follow and steps like Egyptian, shimmy and choo choo, let people know, so you don't have to spend the whole class teaching those things first.

Re: What do you want out of an ATS workshop?
Fri, October 2, 2009 - 6:53 PMHmm, well if it's billed as "ATS" I would expect it to be in the FatChance format. Other than that, new combos, formation ideas and lead-change ideas. My troupe is always looking for ways to use the whole stage (left, right, forward, back) with ATS as we seem to get stuck in the center quite often! -
